When you have your heart set on creating a crazy, wonderful, intensely personal, monster of a festival weekender, picking a celebrant that can pull of a ceremony in keeping is a helluva daunting task. Will they get us? Can they deliver a personal ceremony that doesn't come close to generic? Can they mix humour and poignancy and, in our case, a touch of theatrics? Can they mould to fit the occasion we want to create?
With Alex, we got everything we wanted and so much more! She was perfect in every way.
From our first phone call to the face to face meetings and the Skype calls and WhatsApp thread, Alex was with us every step of the way. The time she put into really getting to know who we are as individuals and as a couple was so worth the fee. Not just that she took the time, more that she was committed, flexible and accommodating to getting everything just the way we wanted it. (We'll say it again, a friend we invited for the rest of the day as our guest)
Alex even went the extra mile when we needed help sourcing local suppliers. She was equally not afraid to calmly guide and steer us when warranted (Mr. G in particular needs reigning in from time to time).
Mr. G, in particular, is very thankful for the squishy hug and calming presence in the hour before the big day!
Alex created the perfect, bonkers, romantic, poignant, comedic, ceremony we dreamed off. To a tee. And when you're as detail-focused as we are, that really is saying something.

She was empathetic and so obviously genuine in sharing our grief that it was easy to welcome her into our family for that difficult and emotional period of time. She went above and beyond the call of duty by travelling out to meet our dad, to get to know him and to talk to him about our mum so she could be ready to support fully on the day. In the lead up to the service there was much to organise and she helped make this happen with patience and understanding. I could not believe Alex had only know C&J a few months. I thought she had known them forever. The ceremony was so personal and so completely right for C&J. It was just brilliant, warm and funny with some really emotional bits. (Sorry Not Fred's picture - he is shy!)

Alexandra was the perfect celebrant for our babies naming ceremony. Right from the moment we spoke on the phone to the ceremony itself she put her heart and soul into our special day... she was great with communication and was very enthusiastic to make our day special.. which it was and so many fond memories.

We were so happy to have found Alex and that she could commit to our date as such late notice. We didn't know where to begin but Alex came up with some fabulous ideas and really got to know us. She was able to put together a fantastic ceremony for us and incorporate our backgrounds as well as getting across the important messages that we wanted. She was flexible, understanding, always available to talk and really made the day.
